THE ADORABLE, WIGGLY, RIKKI NEEDS A FOSTER OR ADOPTER!
Rikki would like to remind everyone that she is still in need of a foster in the NY/NJ/CT area, or better yet, an adopter! Rikki is an approximately 4-5 years old, cat friendly and affectionate, female pit bull who is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed, leash trained, house and crate trained.
While Rikki does completely fine seeing and passing other dogs on walks, and through the fence during playtime at her boarding facility, she would be most comfortable as the only pet in the home where she can soak up all your love and give you her undivided attention. She loves nothing more than cuddling up on the couch with her people for some kisses and belly rubs. Unfortunately, she’s not getting much couch and cuddle time right now as we do not have an open foster home for her, so she is currently staying with the compassionate folks at Dogward Bound for a board & train program.
WE NEED YOR HELP SHARING RIKKI!
While Rikki could possibly live with another mellow dog after a series of long, slow and structured introductions, we do feel she would do best and be most comfortable as the only pet in her foster or adoptive home so she can soak up all your love and give you all of hers in return!

Rikki’s Story: At the end of October, two very kind hearted police officers were alerted to a dog tied up to a fence that had been there for some time. Both of the officers being animal lovers decided to go check it out themselves rather than call animal control. What they found was a scared, very hungry, thirsty, wiggly Rikki. Although, she was trembling, once Rikki saw them approaching she started wagging her tail and wiggling. She allowed them to pet her and gave lots of kisses. They picked her up and put her in their backseat and drove her to get some fast food. She was very happy to eat but, still took the food gently from the officers hands. The officers didn’t have to crate her or anything, as scared as Rikki was from her ordeal, she allowed all handling. The officers then brought her to the city shelter, from which the wonderful folks at Mr. Bones And Co. rescued her. The officers loved this affectionate little lovebug and you can too!
