Fourteen years ago today, Americans was forced to endure an attack on their freedom. There are few who do not remember vividly where they were at the time of these attacks or what they were doing when they occurred. And they also remember that America, as a nation, stood up to help the helpless. Despite being in shock themselves, hundreds of Americans flew to help those who were hurt. Men, women and dogs worked tirelessly to help those still alive and those no longer with us. Some of those heroes lost their lives as well. Far too many lives were lost in this brutal and sudden terror attack and those lives are mourned to this day by people who loved them and the entire nation.
