MINNIE IS A VERY SPECIAL DISNEY PITBULL PRINCESS WHO HAS FOUND A VERY SPECIAL FOREVER HOME!
**UPDATE: Minnie has been adopted! She made such an impression on her new mom when they first met a month ago that, they couldn’t stop thinking of her. Well they made it official & Minnie is loving her new home! In addition to taking her to NYC for physical therapy sessions, Minnie’s new family takes her in the pool everyday to do additional rehab therapy on her legs! (See Minnie in action in the Video below!) They want to make sure she gets back to 100% function and has the best life possible with them for many many years to come! Happy Life Minnie & Co! We’re so proud of your progress and there’s nothing we love more than a happy “new beginning”! Because this isn’t the end for Minnie, it’s only the beginning!**
Imagine being hit by a car and being severely injured, lying immobilized and panicked on the sidewalk, your body broken & in agonizing pain. You think surely the people walking by will help you but, they don’t. They just walk on by. After many hours you start to well up with fear that maybe nobody will stop. That you will die there, alone & in pain. Then picture, that help finally comes to you after what seems like an eternity & for a brief minute you feel relief and safe. Then you pass out from the pain. Then imagine waking up in a terrifying place, where dogs are barking & crying out in anguish, you realize your “saviors” have taken you to a high kill shelter. But, still you think at least they will treat your pain & give you medical treatment but, they don’t. Instead they put you on the euthanasia list with only a matter of hours for a rescue to save you before you’re gone forever.
Well this is what happened to Minnie & lucky for her a wonderful rescue was able to pull her. The rescue had so little time to find her a FOSTER/ADOPTER before she was to be euthanized at the shelter, and therefore rescued her without placement. Now, Minnie is currently homeless & in dire need of home!
The extent of Minnie’s injuries included five pelvic fractures, multiple skin abrasions (road rash) and bilateral scleral hemorrhage (blood in the eyes). She underwent an 8-hour surgery repairing her eyes and all her fractures. Minnie is now all fixed up but, with no where to go! Please CONSIDER FOSTERING her!
Minnie is a Disney Pitbull Princess who is beautifully tempered and excellent with all people, kids, dogs and even cats. At an estimated 10 months old, Minnie has her entire life ahead of her and is looking for someone to spend it with! Please read her story here and SHARE to help us find a home for a puppy who has come so far. Available for adoption in NY/NJ/CT/PA.
