**UPDATE: BELLA GOES HOME! REUNITED WITH FORMER OWNER! (Get out the tissues!) Today, we reunited a man and his dog. He surrendered her when he became homeless earlier this year. Since then, his situation improved, he moved, got a job and a home. He never stopped wanting her back, and trying to find his “baby.” As fate would have it, her adoption fell through and she was “homeless” again. If I live to be 100, I’m not sure much will top watching Bella and owener say hello again. If I had any doubts, I now know for sure that we made the right decision. He still had her purple collar and leash, and she eagerly took her spot in the truck next to him. Happy life Bella… I think you’re going to be just fine. We will never regret babysitting you for the past 6 months, but it was time for you to go home. ** We spoke to Bella’s dad today, she’s adjusting really well to being home with him, his girlfriend and her dog, Rosie. All four of them slept in the same bed together last night. And Bella’s been doing great with her new four-legged sister, Rosie. Watch the video of their reunion below, when they see each other for the first time since February. (Warning: it’s a tear jerker.)
3 year old Isabella was rescued from a kill shelter, after her owner moved to a homeless shelter with her young children. She seems to have been an integral part of the little family and was a true playmate to the kids with whom we are told she showed the utmost tolerance to all handling.
Isabella knows many commands( including give paw, fetch, go to the corner), is very active and playful, and is friendly to strangers. Isabella has been remarkably well cared for. She is well built, healthy, the perfect weight and her coat is shiny and beautifully groomed. She loves treats and dances on her hinds to get more. She is not a snatcher, though. She comes right away when called and sits like a soldier by my side, all eyes on me , expecting her share of caresses.
Isabella certainly looks like a family dog. Isabella loves people..They are her true family. She would probably give her life for the humans she loves and belongs to. Well, if it is a true and dedicated friend you are looking for, do not seek any further..Here is Isabella for you, waiting to be your faithful forever companion.
Isabella is currently at our trainer’s house. She has met, and gotten along with, several dogs there. We are not sure how she would be with cats though. She is up to date on shots, microchipped and will be spayed before going home. She is a great family dog and is desperate to find a new family to love her.
**Home visit, application and small adoption fee are required**
