Holly is still waiting for her New Beginning!
Holly is patiently waiting for a foster or an adopter!
Holly, fka Hovie of the Brooklyn shelter was saved at the very last minute from certain death by President of Posh Pets Rescue, Linda. Holly is a 2 year old throw away mama who was bred to death and cast aside when she was no longer useful. When Holly came to us she was a timid, frightened girl who was wary of strangers. Holly was sent to Allied Dog Training to bring her out of her shell and work on some issues she had. Well Holly is absolutely thriving now!!!
Read below what her trainer, Diane, says about Holly:
Holly came to us for training about two months ago. She was nervous at first but it only took her a few minutes to warm up to us and then she turned into a love bug. She is fully trained in off leash obedience and we have been working on socializing her with new people, building her confidence, and teaching her to trust. Holly can be unsure when meeting new people but it literally takes her minutes to warm up and once she does she loves you for life. She is a dog that with continued socialization she can be fully rehabbed and her minor trust issues can completely go away. She is doing well with us but her time here is done and she needs a foster or adopter to continue the work we started. Sending Holly back to Posh Pets shelter is not an option as all the hard work that we have done, and all the hard work she has done will be wasted. Holly needs to continue to be socialized and continue on her path to rehabilitation. This can only be done by being in a foster or forever home. We will give Holly’s new owner free handling lessons so they can continue the work we started and we will give them free lifetime support. Holly is such a great dog who has so much love to give and so much potential. Please share Holly as we can not keep her here much longer and she needs a home. This video is Holly being the silly happy girl that she is. This is the Holly you will get after minutes of her warming up to you. This dog deserves a second chance at life but we need someone to step up for her.
Holly is tolerant of other dogs but would be best as a solo pet and with older children.
