***UPDATE: The last of the Coney Island Puppies has left the nest. Coney-Dutch, the runt who wasn’t supposed to make it, almost died, and who got the last laugh because he is by far the largest and most robust of the litter, is adopted! Woohoo! Happy Tails Coney-Dutch & family! We are so happy for you!***
Sophie Gamand Photography captured the most cuddly of Mr. Bones & Co’s Coney Island Puppies beautifully! Coney is their little survivor. When the litter came to them from Animal Care & Control. Coney was the tiniest, weighing in at only 2lbs. He bore the brunt of the starvation and neglect and they almost lost him after that first night in the hospital. Thanks to the diligent care of their vets, in particularly Dr. Kelly Blackstock, after four days in the hospital the littlest one came home to them. His return was bittersweet as they had unexpectedly lost the largest and most stoic of the litter, Dutch, who unlike Coney, never cried out to let them know how much he was suffering until his last few moments. In honor of Dutch, Coney’s full name was changed to Coney-Dutch. They’re certain Dutch became his guardian angel from the moment he passed and they learned that Coney would make it. Coney is now the largest of the litter and is still waiting for a very special forever home!
